Who needs what?

These tips may be useful for CD and DVD collectors - music and movies fans, who exchange disks with friends or colleagues. If you use to loan disks and want to control the process - your catalog is a helpful tool.

Publishing your catalog

Once you have created the collection catalog, you can publish it in many ways.

Create a report with a list of groups and disks (menu "File - Report"), and either send it to your friends or publish by other means.
Send the disks from the catalog to DiskToHTML (menu "Disk utilities"), produce a HTML file, and upload it to a network or web.
Send the disks from the catalog to FR CD Cover (menu "Disk utilities"), and print out the list.
Export the full disk information to exchange format (Menu "Tools - Export to exchange"), and share with other CD Bank users.

Registering the disks on loan

If you have loaned a disk out, make a record about it. Select the disk (or several disks) in the catalog, and press F7 hotkey (menu "Loans - Loan this disk"). Fill in the borrower name and the target date for disk returning. If you have loaned a disk in, add it to the catalog, and make a record. There is but one difference from the previous case - select the "Loan type - from" in the loaning dialog.

When the disk is returned, just specify the complete date in the record of the loan.

Controlling the disks on loan

CD Bank helps you to see, which disks are currently away, and which are in your hands. All loaned disks are marked with red in the disks list, special custom column showing the borrower name and days left, the "View all loans" (hotkey F8) table reporting all overdue, incomplete and closed operations.
